Eligibility Requirements

In order to qualify to participate in the Energy Future Holdings Supplier Diversity Initiative, your firm must meet one of the following criteria:

1. Must be 51% or more, owned controlled and operated by an ethnic minority or a women and be certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), A Women Business Enterprise (WBE), a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB), or a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by at least one of the following:

a. National Minority Supplier Development Council - www.nmsdc.org
b. Women's Business Enterprise National Council - www.wbenc.org
c. Other recognized third-party certifying entities

2. Must be certified by the US Small Business Administration as:

a. 8(a) - www.sba.gov/aboutsba/sbaprograms/8abd/application/index
b. HUBZone Small Business Concern - www.sba.gov/hubzone

3. Must be certified by a third party as a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) or a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SD VOSB) - www.vip.vetbiz.gov/general_user/register

4. Must be small business and registered in Central Contractors Register (CCR) - http://web.sba.gov/pro-net/docrootpages/index.html

All Suppliers will receive a Supplier Diversity Profile upon receipt of award and if meeting any of the criteria above, must provide a certification affidavit along with the completed Supplier Diversity Profile.
