Gold Star Recognition

Energy Future Holdings' Supplier Diversity Gold Star Recognition Program is designed to acknowledge the significant contribution of individuals, groups, and businesses to Supplier Diversity progress and success. Recognition is for internal and external individuals and entities. Each year, employees throughout the EFH system are awarded "gold stars" for their efforts (such as mentoring a supplier; assuring inclusion in bid opportunities; volunteering for major outreach activities). At the annual Gold Star Supplier Diversity Recognition Reception, gold star employee recipients are acknowledged for their contributions. Executives from EFH Corp, Luminant, and TXU Energy, along with EFH Corporate Board members, participate in the event and assist in awarding special annual employee awards. Awards are also presented to Energy Future Holdings Supplier Diversity Minority and Women Gold Star Suppliers, for their exemplary service to EFH, commitment to supplier and workforce diversity, and commitment to the community; a Group Award, for an outstanding business group within EFH who has consistently been progressive and successful with their Supplier Diversity results; and a Partnership Award, which is presented to a non-M/WBE supplier who supports Energy Future Holdings' efforts through multi-tier participation.

In the twenty year history of Gold Star Recognition, over 3000 gold stars have been presented to employees.
