Increasing Customer Choice and Benefits by Offering:
- Low Prices: TXU Energy maintains the lowest prices among incumbent Texas retailers. In 2007, TXU Energy reduced retail prices 15% for approximately 1 million residential customers, saving a typical single-family household about $395 on an annual basis. The superior value provided by lower-priced plans, innovative products and a focus on customer service has contributed to greater customer satisfaction and growth in the number of customers.
- Energy Efficiency Tools: TXU Energy is offering new energy conservation products and tools to help customers save money by using electricity more efficiently. TXU Energy is significantly expanding these programs, funded by a new $100 million investment in energy efficiency programs over the next five years.
- $150 Million Commitment to Low-Income Assistance and TXU Energy AidSM: TXU Energy Access is a comprehensive set of programs dedicating more than $150 million over five years to assist eligible lowincome customers. Jim Burke, TXU Energy CEO
Jim Burke is driven to deliver superior customer service and value-added products and
services. He was appointed to lead TXU Energy in August 2005 after joining the company in
2004 as senior VP of consumer markets. Previously, Burke was president and chief operating
officer of Gexa Energy and senior VP of consumer operations at Reliant. Prior to his 7 years
in the retail electricity market, he worked at Coca-Cola and Deloitte & Touche. He serves on
the boards of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Sheltering Arms Senior Services, a
Houston nonprofit organization benefiting senior citizens.
