Mike Greene, 63, is vice chairman of Energy Future Holdings Corp., formerly TXU Corp.
Greene's employment with TXU began in 1969 at Texas Electric Service Company in the Power Department as a junior engineer. Other positions have included vice president of marketing, executive vice president of TXU Fuel, executive vice president of TXU Mining, president of electric transmission, president of TXU Pipeline and president of Oncor, EFH's regulated transmission and distribution business and chief executive officer of Luminant.
Greene is a member of the Electric Power Research Institute's Board of Directors, the Texas Railroad Commission's Texas Energy Reliability Council and the Governor's Competitiveness Council. He is past chairman of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). A registered professional engineer in Texas, Greene is a member of the National and Texas Society of Professional Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Education
A native of Texas, Greene graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. In 2004, Greene was selected as a distinguished engineering alumnus.
Family
Mike has been married for 39 years, and he and his wife, Janet, have four children and four grandchildren.
