Today, Oncor filed for a rate review with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC) and 204 cities, as previously committed to in an agreement with state leaders and other important stakeholders. If approved as requested, and if all costs are passed through to retail customers, this review would result in an increase of 2.7 percent or $5.09 per month for an average residential consumer.

Dallas County Health and Human Services (DCHHS) has received funding from Oncor in the amount of $218,298 to support a pilot weatherization program targeting low-income residents in Dallas County. The Dallas County Weatherization Assistance Program offers help to residents who meet the income eligibility guidelines to decrease the cost of heating and cooling bills by providing energy efficiency improvements to these households. As a part of the pilot program, DCHHS will conduct outreach to eligible customers, verify customer income eligibility, arrange for installations using agency staff or subcontractors, verify and inspect installations and report results to Oncor.

Oncor reported energy efficiency program results for 2007 to the Public Utility Commission of Texas on Thursday, May 1, citing an overall reduction in peak demand of 89,233 kilowatts and a total energy savings of 216,371,490 kilowatt hours. The peak demand reduction represented a slight decrease from 92,000 kilowatts reported in 2006. Energy savings overall increased in 2007, up from a total of 159,472,243 kilowatt hours in 2006. Put in perspective, last year's total energy savings could run almost 13,000 homes in the Oncor service area for one year.
Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC and CURRENT Group, LLC announced today that Oncor has agreed to purchase CURRENT's existing Smart Grid network in Dallas, Texas as well as additional equipment for approximately $90 million. A 109-year-old Dallas resident’s home will be made weather-wise today by TXU Electric Delivery volunteers who are aiming to educate the public about $10 million available through contractors to assist low-income households.

(NYSE: TXU), estimated that 120,000 people are without electric service following a hurricane-force storm that struck the system on Tuesday, June 1, leaving more than half a million homes and businesses without power, followed by another round of storms on Wednesday, June 2 that added another 90,000 outages. About 110,000 of the 120,000 remaining outages are in the Metroplex, 97,000 in Fort Worth and 13,000 in Dallas.
As of midnight, Thursday, June 3, TXU Electric Delivery has restored power to approximately 170,000 homes and businesses in the last 24 hours. Approximately 200,000 are still out from a total at the height of the storm of half a million homes and businesses.

Oncor Electric Delivery Company (Oncor) announced today that its wholly owned, special purpose subsidiary, Oncor Electric Delivery Transition Bond Company LLC, has completed the issuance of $500 million of Transition Bonds. Oncor has received the net proceeds from the issuance and will use these proceeds to retire debt and equity at Oncor. TXU Gas Company, a subsidiary of TXU Corp.
