If you're looking for a fun, educational activity to share with your family this spring break, check out "Energy Thieves," TXU Energy's new video for kids. The short film shows how electronics can drain electricity even when they're turned off and offers a few tips on how to cut electricity usage. When paired with the company's free home energy audit for kids, it offers a positive way to engage children and teach them about good energy habits at home.
TXU Energy also offers similar tools for adults, including its free electricity calculator, also called Energy Thieves. The tool helps to determine, room-by-room and device-by-device, how various household items can drain electricity and end up costing you money.
Want to learn more and foil the energy thieves in your home? TXU Energy's Amanda Ray recently talked about these tools and provided more tips on avoiding unnecessary electricity costs on WFAA-TV's Good Morning Texas. Watch the video here.
