Living Wise

Oncor's hands-on LivingWise® Program is designed to educate sixth-grade students about using energy and water resources wisely. This flexible and turnkey program provides teachers with education materials, lesson plans, activity books, and other engaging activities that can be used inside and outside the classroom.

Luminant Environmental Research Program

The centerpiece of Luminant's educational and research partnerships is the unique Luminant Environmental Research Program, which has produced outstanding scientists and environmental professionals and provided Luminant with sound environmental solutions since 1971.

Luminant Power Track

Luminant Power Track, a new career-development scholarship program, has awarded its second class of students scholarships covering books and tuition toward one of four power plant degree paths and the opportunity for a full-time job following successful completion of the program.

TXU Energy Solar Academy

TXU Energy Solar Academy is partnering with National Energy Education Development Project (NEED) to implement their nationally recognized solar energy education program into Texas schools. This program brings hands-on solar teaching experiments and renewable energy curriculum into the classroom providing students and teachers with an interactive learning experience.

Energy Assistance Workshops

For close to a decade, TXU Energy has hosted energy assistance workshops for hundreds of social service organizations statewide to provide education and training regarding electric service and assistance plans, especially TXU Energy's programs.
