DALLAS – TXU Energy, the state’s leading competitive retail electricity provider, has moved further into whole home services with the addition of plumbing protection to its suite of home warranty solutions.
“With the addition of plumbing protection, TXU Energy now has options to power and protect virtually everything inside our customers’ homes,” said Michael Grasso, chief marketing officer for TXU Energy. “TXU Energy is able to lead our industry’s evolution toward a single-source provider of home and business services because we’ve earned Texans’ trust by keeping our promise to deliver innovative residential and business electricity solutions, as well as market-leading customer service.”
TXU Energy Plumbing ProtectSM provides some of the best coverage available with virtually unparalleled service. The plan offers a low monthly rate, unlimited service calls per contract year, a flat deductible per claim and up to $25,000 in coverage per contract year. It covers repairs or replacement for most interior plumbing equipment and systems that are working at the time coverage starts, including garbage disposals, plumbing stoppages, interior hose bibs, shower and tub valves, leaks and breaks, toilet bowls, toilet tanks and mechanisms within toilet tanks.
All TXU Energy warranty plans offer discounts for repairs and replacements that are not covered by the plan and are backed by 24/7 customer service, 180-day workmanship guarantees and service from pre-screened, licensed professionals. There is no age limit or pre-inspection for equipment or systems covered by TXU Energy protection plans.
TXU Energy began offering protection against power surges and air conditioning protection in 2013. It now offers those coverages, as well as whole home and the new plumbing protection.
“Combined with our wide range of retail electricity plans and other services, we have made it a breeze to get personalized home services that meet individual Texans’ needs and budgets,” Grasso said. “And we make it easy for our customers to have peace of mind knowing that they are covered against unexpected expenses.”
